What our Clients Say
Hayley has been invaluable to me in getting back to running after a difficult time. She has helped me with basic running technique and enabled me to feel confident as an amputee runner again, with taking part in running events again a real possibility. Despite the distance between us, we have managed to meet up and assess my progress, giving me new goals to work on and constantly improving my technique. We have been able to keep in touch through phone and e-mails and Hayley has also been able to view any video that my husband takes. I have valued her experience and knowledge

“In 2006, I lost my leg, through-knee, in a motorcycle accident. Soon after, I got heavily involved in sitting volleyball and trained and competed for Great Britain in the London 2012 Paralympics. However, while I was involved in sport, I had never run or even jogged since my accident. I made contact with Hayley Ginn in 2012, while she was coaching some of the British Paralympic athletes, and began ad hoc training with her. She immediately struck me as being very focused, knowledgeable and passionate about running, particularly with disabled athletes. I quickly started jogging and, excited about the improvement, started formal training sessions with her in 2013. I have since improved rapidly to the point where I am running and can’t wait to develop further. Hayley is always very encouraging, builds confidence and is expert in her instruction. I would highly recommend her for anyone interested in developing their running for either pleasure or for high-level competition.”

After prosthesis was fitted and Physio (NHS) was complete in August I realised that I would require some further training. I contacted a group from Loughborough University and was
pointed in the direction of Haley Ginn. Once contact had been made, Haley set to work straight away on me with a ‘session’. Not being an athletic type, this was all new to me. The first session was quite strange .We warmed up for 15-20minutes, we then went straight out to the track, where we went through a routine of more exercises. I could not quite see where it was all leading ,but then towards the end of that session it was like a revelation it all made sense. The direction was now clear. Every session since then just opens me up for a clearer way to reach my goal. I am now waiting for trial foot or feet to test as the standard foot is restrictive. My objective for re-learning to run is so that I am able to live as near to normal life, which includes building and paragliding again. Generally to take off with a paraglider a certain amount of running is required ,as well as thrust and weight from the hips down. Also landing sometimes requires a short run upon impact with the ground. Training has helped tremendously with my every day activities including balance, strength and stamina. Session 1 was held on March 10 /2013 I am now 4 sessions in and am back paragliding again. Hayley’s method of training is no nonsense and she knows exactly what is required to teach me how to run again.
